As my first gardening tip to you, I would recommend that you think about fertilizing your plants sometime before the end of September, as their last boost of nutrients this year. Also, as the temperature cools, if you want to spray your yard for weeds, September/October would be the time to do so.&lt;br /&gt;In order to spruce up the color in your yard for the fall and winter, it is now time to plant mums, pansies, snapdragons, violas and other cool season annuals.
